For me, you really nailed it down with no. 4: Consistency. It's easy for me to loose focus and get caught by the daily responsibilities. But ti's OK: I've learn to quickly put myself back on track every time I realize I'm off it. No blaming, no guild, just action.

Great post. You are so right that from time to time we really do need to honestly ask ourselves what is holding us back. It is so easy to just give up on your goals way too early because you don't think you are making enough progress. However, what I have noticed, is that those people who continually reach their goals have made a commitment to doing anything and everything they can until they are successful. They are willing to change course of something is not working, and totally unwilling to accept defeat. They are in a continual pursuit of the road to success and this requires honestly examining what is holding them back. Once we are able to figure that out, we can ensure we are directing our efforts appropriately and breaking down any obstacles to success. Thanks for the great list of potential obstacles.

Oh, boy, I can relate to at least 3 of these issues - procrastination is the worst. I sometimes use self-hypnosis tapes to change my mental state but it's really an ongoing battle.
